The Kawartha Rock & Fossil Club is planning our 7th Annual Rock Swap for Sunday, September 5, 2021, at the Coliseum on the Norwood Fairgrounds, Norwood, Ontario
While current Covid restrictions limit the number of people attending an indoor public event like this, to 25 people, we are planning our event for the first week of September. The current provincial lockdown restrictions are expected to be greatly relaxed by then, as long as the daily number of new covid cases remains low.
We will hold this event as long as we can do so safely, and as long as Covid restrictions will allow. Everyone attending will be required to wear a facemask.
Again this year we are pleased to be able to hold this event without any cost to the participants. Tables are free, no admission charge....Free! The rules are simple: rocks, minerals, fossils or lapidary, and anything that is directly related. You can buy, sell, trade or just show off what you have. We have forty tables available, each 8 feet long. They must be reserved in advance, just message me if you would like to book one.
We again will be in the Coliseum, which is located on the Norwood Fairgrounds. Directions are from the traffic lights on Highway 7 in Norwood, travel south one block on County Road 45, then turn left onto Alma Street. Travel 3 blocks down on Alma Street and turn left onto the Norwood Fairgrounds, the Coliseum is about 200 meters straight ahead. There will be signs out to help you find your way. The address is: 56 Alma Street, Norwood, Ontario.
Doors will be open to the public at 10:00 am.
The hours for the swap are 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
